Lucy Barzun Donnelly is an Emmy and Golden Globe winner whose producing career began with Oscar-nominated Pieces of April. She was celebrated for developing and producing HBO’s Grey Gardens starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange which won two Golden Globes, six Emmys, a Critics’ Choice award and the David L. Wolper Producer of the Year award for Donnelly. Donnelly then raised a 7-figure four year development and production fund to launch one of the industry’s only female-led, independently financed content incubation companies, from 2014-2018.
As an independent producer, she developed and produced Friends with Kids starring Jon Hamm, Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph; That’s What She Said, with Anne Heche; Bag of Hammers with Jason Ritter, Rebecca Hall and Amanda Seyfried; and financed and executive produced Maggie’s Plan, starring Ethan Hawke, Julianne Moore and Greta Gerwig and Beautiful Darkness, starring Chloë Sevigny, Aidan Turner and Matthew Broderick.
Recently she launched LBD Productions to focus on complicated female characters and currently has several film and television projects in development including comedies and romantic comedies for both television and features.
